The term “clusterfreak” is a catchy combination that can be legally protected. The components "cluster" and "freak" are to be classified as descriptive with regard to the content of the website. However, the overall designation "clusterfreak" achieves a sufficient degree of originality and memorability. As a result, it is a protectable, individualizing designation. The mere use of the designation in social media (X/Twitter since 24.04.2009, GitHub since 11.02.2014) and as an internet presence/domain (clusterfreak.de since 27.06.2011, clusterfreak.com since 18.09.2011) for years also gives rise to rights for the owner of the accounts and domains.
